About Malaysia

One of half a dozen nations to have participated at every edition of the tournament, Malaysia are also one of just four to have won the regional showpiece, with that breakthrough victory coming back in 2010.

Having followed that with two runners-up finishes in 2014 and 2018, Malaysia clearly enter the current edition as one of the teams to beat.

Aside from being of one of the region’s most highly regarded coaches, Tan Cheng Hoe is also the only local to be charged with leading his nation into the finals and expectation is once again at fever pitch in Malaysia.

With a core group of highly experienced local players mixed in with some exciting European based youngsters, Malaysia are very much a nation to watch when things get underway in Singapore.
