About Philippines

An ever-present at the early editions of the AFF Suzuki Cup, Philippines shot to regional prominence in 2010 as they blazed their way through the tournament, only falling to a strong Indonesian side in the semifinals.

The Azkals matched that feat at the following two editions as they once again reached the last four before once again being a semifinalist at the previous edition three years ago.

With the highly regarded Scott Cooper at the helm and boasting a nice blend of exciting local and foreign-based talents, expectations are high that this could be the year where the nation finally pushes through right to the pointy end of the tournament.
